I. General use of findahome.ie
1. What is the aim of findahome.ie ?
FindAhome delivers a quality service to both the accommodation officers and to the student and young professionals seeking accommodation.
FindAhome is providing a low cost website development for auctioneers, letting agents, holiday home companies using the technology we have already built to communicate your listings to the general public.
2. How do I search for a property ?
To search a property, you need to go to the main page of findahome:

You can then select your specification for lettings, sales or colleges.
Click on "Find it" to see results.
3. How do I log in and log out of the website ?
To log in on findahome, click on the button "log in" on the top left side.
Give your username (your email address) and your password.

When you are logged in, you can see a message on the left side on the screen saying "You are logged as ...".
To log out, click on the button on the top right side.

4. What can I do if I've forgotten my password ?
If you have forgotten your password, we can retrieve it.
Go to the "log in" page, and then click on "Click here to retrieve it".
You will receive it again in your email box.

II. About Registration
1. What types of users exist in findahome?
There are two different types of users in findahome:
2. Why do I need to register ?
If you are a landlord, you need to register to place ad and manage them (edit, delete, put offline, ...)
If you are a buyer, you can search properties without registration. But, with a buyer account, you can save or block ads and find them again very quickly.
3. Which information do I need to register ?
If you want to register on findahome, you only need a valid email address.
4. How to register ?
To register, connect yourself to the website http:www.findahome.ie
On the main page, click on "Register". If you're already logged in findahome with another account, please log out and go to "Home" to register.

Then, you need to complete the following form:

Be careful, you need to give a valid email address.
Once you click on last "Register" button, an email will be send to you with a validation link.
Click on the link to validate your account. If you're account is not validated, you cannot log in to findahome.
For the landlord, the contact phone number will be displayed on your different ads.
5. How do I manage my account ?
From all pages, when you are logged in, you can go to your personal page by clicking on "Your account" on the top menu.

On this page, you can edit your personal information, by choosing "Edit your account details".
There you can also change your account type. In this case, you need to log out and log in again on the website once you've saved the change.
You can also see your properties: saved or blocked properties if you are a buyer, your ad if you are a landlord.
III. Manage your ad
1. How do I create an ad ?
To create a new ad, you need first log in with your landlord account. Then go to "Your account" page. There are two different link to place a new ad:

Then select your ad type. For a classic ad, select the market and then click on the type of the ad (Basic or Premium), on the left side of the screen.
For a student accommodation, select the market and click on "Go".

Then, complete the following form about your property

When you've finished, click on "next".
If you've chosen a basic ad, it's over: your property is online !
Otherwise, a new screen will be displayed and you can upload your photos:

Click on "Next" to complete your ad.
For the Premium ad, you will need to pay in order that your photos will be put online.
2. What are the different types of ad ?
A Premium Ad gives you priority placement at the top of the list ensuring maximum exposure on Findahome.ie

3. How long will it take before my ad is seen online ?
If you've added a basic, classic or premium ad, your ad will be online as soon as you have finished to complete the form.
if you have added a student accommodation, your ad will be in a "pending" mode, until the agent of the selected college accepted it.
4. How do I see my properties ?
If you're going to "Your account" page, you will see on the right side of the screen a summary of your properties.

5. How do I edit an ad ?
To edit an ad, go to "Your Account" page.
On the right side of the screen, there is a "Your Properties" box.
Click on the link of the right status of the ad (online, offline or pending)
A table will be display with all your ad.

Click on the "+" at the beginninf of row of the ad you want to edit. You will see further details of your ad. Select Edit or Add Photos to update it.

6. How do I delete an ad/put it offline ?
Delete an ad means put it offline.
First, go to "Your Account" page.
On the right side of the screen, there is a "Your Properties" box.
Click on the link "You have (x) ads online".
A table will be display with all your ad.

Then click on the icon at the right. This message will be displayed:
If you click on "Ok" your properties will be put offline.

7. How do I put an ad online ?
To put an ad online, go to "Your Account" page.
On the right side of the screen, there is a "Your Properties" box.
Click on the link "You have (x) ads offline".
A table will be display with all your ad.

Just click on the icon with two blue arrows in circle. The following message will be displayed. Click on "OK" to confirm or "Cancel" to let it offline. You're ad will now appear on the list of online properties.

IV. Manage the buyer/tenant account
1. Why do I need to create a buyer account ?
A buyer/tenant account is useful if you want to select some interesting properties and find them quickly.
2. How can I save or block an ad ?
To save or block an ad, you need first to connect with you tenant buyer account.
On the top menu, click on "Home" and make your search with your criteria.
When different results are displayed on the screen, click on "Save Ad" or "Block Ad".

3. How do I find again my saved/blocked properties ?
To find again the properties you have blocked or saved, first connect yourself to your tenant/buyer account.
Then go to "Your Account" page. On the left side of the screen, you can seen your blocked or saved properties.
You just need to click on the right link to see more details of them.

4. How can I receive notification of new properties ?
If you want to be notified when a new property which might interest you in added in the website, you can ask to receive an email.
For this, connect yourself to your tenant/buyer account, and go to "your Account" page.
Click on "Setup a new email alert". Complete the form and select "Finish".

V. Student accommodation
1. How do I place an ad for student college ?
To place an ad for student college, you need to add a "student accommodation".
Go to the Part III. Manage your ad, question 1. How do I create an ad ?.
The only difference in the form is that you need to select the student college.
2. Why do I need to wait until my ad is placed online ?
For each college, there is a person from the college which is in charge of managing accommodation.
This person must first accept your ad before you can see it online. That is why, when you add a "student accommodation property", you will see that your property is "pending".
The property will stay in this status until the responsible approve it.
Then you will see it online.
3. How do I search for student accommodation ?
Go to the main page on findahome.ie, select the college name in the following box and click on "find it".

A password is needed for some colleges. You can try to connect without password. It will work for some colleges. For other colleges, contact the "Contact Information person" and ask for the good password.
